Trying to do something different with my Song of the Week posts. Not certain if my idea will really pan out into a good thing. Time will tell. Until proven as a not so good idea for this brain of mine, I am going to start theme weeks for this post.
Pandora week, this is. One week per month, I am going to feature a song that came to me by way of listening to Pandora. At first, I thought the song should be a new find, but I have concluded that it could be a familiar song that I have not listened to for a while but brought back to my attention through Pandora listening.
This you must know, Brandi Carlile is a favorite of mine. I absolutely LOVE her music. I have seen her in concert at least three times, she is fantastic and I blogged about her at least twice - Music Musings: Brandi Carlile and A Fantastic Show…Brandi Carlile. What occurred over the last year, in my quest to diversify my music, I did not listen to her much. What a shame. Upon listening to Pandora, I kept seeing my Brandi Carlile channel. I finally played it, and guess what…I miss listening to her music.
Have you Ever is a simple song yet has meaning. What that meaning is, I cannot tell you. But, I will say, for me, the meaning changes a bit with my mood and life, but it always resonates feeling.
Any finds this week for you by way of a radio service such as Pandora?

Oh, I really like that one! I haven't discovered much from Pandora this week I don't think.... but I do think this will be an awesome feature! I look forward to it.
Yay! You like the song this week. Brandi Carlile really is a fantastic singer/songwriter. Not only that, she has a great team with the two guys who are with her...."the twins"...I am forgetting their names right now, but they have great talent that compliments her.
I really like Pandora, so I thought it would be fun to purposefully tag a song to share - a song that I come across while listening to this "radio station".
haven't listened to Pandora this week. your idea is a wonderful one.
I remember learning about Brandi via an earlier post of yours--I've been enjoying getting to know her ever since, so thanks.
I love Pandora. This past week I was thinking about the incredible classic music on the radio stations in the Fallout 3 game and decided to just type "Fallout 3" in the stations box. Turns out there was a user created shared station with all kinds of great songs by artists from that soundtrack and others like them. Wonderful music by Ella Fitzgerald, Roy Brown, The Ink Spots and more. It was so much fun.
Excellent. I hope you continue to enjoy her music.
Keep my Pandora idea in mind for the third Friday of every month, God willing that I keep up with themes. :)
That is very cool. I did not realize, until a week or so ago, that there were channels set up for general interests such as Fallout 3. People have created channels for workout music - I have tried a couple, they are good, but I probably will not use Pandora for exercise. I will need to keep these type of channles in mind if I come across music used in an anime, video game, etc. Thanks for sharing. Fun.
I couldnt view the video here :( will have to jump on you tube later and see if i can find the video. Its great though when you find a song and artist you can inspire you.
That happens to me sometimes with your videos. Weird, I think. I do not get why that happens. If a video is available in one country why not the other.
See if this link will work for you.

Oh I didn't know that! let me know in the future when you come across one (lemme guess though most of the aussie ones?) that doesnt work. That link did work, I liked it and she has a lovely voice.
I am glad the link worked for you.
Yes, it is most of the Aussie ones that do not work for me. I will let you know which one if it happens again.
I just went ahead and searched for the artist and song on Youtube and have been able to find one that is allowed for viewing here.
Cool that is handy to know. I dont really use youtube that much so not too savvy on it. :)
